Palm Sunday
Sunday is Palm Sunday. The entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem is recorded in all four Gospels. This event supports the claim that Jesus is Messiah.
|
- Fulfills Prophecy ((Zechariah 9:9)
- The donkey is the symbol of peace. Jesus comes to bring peace to the hearts of men, not war against Rome.
- This starts the first day of Holy Week, where we as Christians contemplate the person and ministry of our Lord.
- Jesus comes during Passover... adding to the meaning of Jesus as the Lamb that takes away the sins of the world.
- Palm Sunday is filled with excitement and enthusiasm for Jesus, but by Friday they will call for his crucifixion. Palm Sunday reminds us of who Jesus truly is: the Prince of Peace and the Lamb of God and the Lord of our lives.

The Egg Hunt is This Sunday!
An Outreach Opportunity
|
We have invited families, especially those with children, from Tuckaway Apartments next door to come and worship with us on Paul Sunday. After service we will host an easter egg hunt for the children. It is a great way to show we care about our neighbors. Pray that we will reach new families and share the Gospel of Jesus' love and redemption for everyone.

Help Needed in the Nursery this Sunday!

Dennis Davison is asking for a couple of volunteers to help him in the nursery this Palm Sunday. We could have extra kids due to the egg hunt, and want to be prepared! Let Dennis know at 512-554-6215.
