Ladies' Craft Night & Impromptu Men's Hangout on 2/10

From Pastor Jim:
Sometimes my office day is Friday: When there is a church event scheduled on a Friday, I will make Friday my office day so as to avoid making an extra trip to Cedar Park. This Friday, Feb. 10, at 6:00 PM, the women are having a craft night fellowship. They will be making candles and sharing refreshments. Pastor is inviting all men who are interested to meet him at church at 6:00 PM and go out together for a good hamburger and then come back and play Mexican Train, or just chew the fat. Everyone is invited to participate. See you Friday!

"Down Look Down --- Look Up!"

In Psalm 42 the psalmist is lamenting the current situation. It is causing the psalmist to become "downcast." As the author is pouring out his soul to God, he asks himself, "Why are you downcast, O my soul?" The author was looking down emotionally. He was looking outward mentally, (Why? Why me? etc.) but then he looks upward to God and says in essence, "I do not have to remain downcast, because I can put my hope in God, my Savior!"
Are you going through some tough times? Don't look down and remain despondent; don't just look around at your circumstances. Instead, LOOK UP! Look up and remember that God is your Savior, your Rock, your Healer and the Lord who watches over you!

What is a Church Board Member?

Our church statistical year comes closes the end of February. We will take a look at our past year, celebrate our victories and set goals for the coming year. Our leaders will give ministry reports, we will share the budget, and we will elect a board for the 2024-25 church year. We will elect men and women who are saved, sanctified, demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit, and meet both Church Manual and biblical qualifications for church leaders. Be praying now that God will guide us. More information to come over the next few weeks.
