Hill Country Nazarene

From the Desk of Pastor Jim—

Taking Care of God's House

The Workday on Saturday, October 14 is more than just day to get some things done. It's an opportunity for us to work together, show our unity as a congregation, and demonstrate to the District that we are truly serious about being a growing, Great Commission Church that cares about God's house.

Thanks to all who are supporting the establishment of our building fund with your generosity. Together we can increase our ability to deal with normal repairs and supply needs without having to ask for a "special offering."

This Sunday: Jesus Seeks the Lost, Part III

The Parable of the Lost Son

Luke 15:11-31 tells us the familiar story of the Prodigal Son. It is one of the greatest redemption stories ever told— a story filled with mercy and grace.

John wrote: Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. (Jn 1:16-18 NIV)

Let's learn together the significance of Jesus' mercy and grace toward all of us.

Prayer Requests

  • Pat Wilson: Please pray for continued healing.
  • Our next pastor: We don't yet know who it will be, but we can still be praying for them!
