Where there is no vision, the people perish.

Proverbs 29:18

There are three components to a healthy, growing church:
  • Mission: What God says we are to do (Great Command/Commission)
  • Vision: How we perceive we are to fulfill the mission in our community
  • Strategy: A plan for fulfilling the mission and vision. How to get from where we are to where we want to be.
Years ago, Hill Country Nazarene created a vision statement:

Restoring Hope | Rebuilding Lives | Reflecting Jesus

It is easy to see that if we are going to do these things we must be very intentional about outreach! The Church Board and I are beginning the process of creating a strategic plan. Here are two important questions we need to answer:
  1. What are we doing now to fulfill our mission and vision?
  2. What do we need to do to get from where we are to where we need to be?
We want to get the process started so that a prospective pastor will see that we are serious about reaching lost people and growing as a church. Please pray for us that God will give us wisdom and insight. —Pastor Jim
