Susan and I visited the rainforest pyramids at Moody Gardens in Galveston. The beauty and complexity and wonders of the plants, animals and benefits of the rainforest testify to the Majesty of the Lord God, our creator. One factor of great interest is the number of medicines that come from different plants and tree barks. Things we need to protect us are already part of God's creation.
As I completed the tour I began to praise God and thank Him for His power, love and grace. One of the characteristics of the Spirit-filled church (Acts 2:42-47) was their awe of God. They never forgot that all the benefits promised in Scripture are given to those who fear God.

Blessed are those who fear the LORD,
who find great delight in his commands. Ps. 121:1
|
The fear of the Lord means that we realize how awesome God is. We respect His Holiness, Majesty, and His commands. May we, like the early church, never lose that sense of awe. When we gather in His name, the awesome Creator of the Universe makes His presence known. May it be so this coming Sunday as you worship together and Wes shares God's Word.

Membership Classes
For all who are interested in joining the church, Pastor will be hosting two membership classes. Choose the time that works best for you.

- Sunday, June 9, 2024, 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM.
- Thursday, June 13, 2024, 6:30 PM to 7:15 PM.
Classes will be held in Pastor's office. You will learn about our local church as well as the Church of the Nazarene's worldwide ministry.
