Good News: We Are Making a Positive Impact!
"We Enjoyed Worshipping With You." Those are the words I read and heard over the phone from some folks that recently visited our church. One lady said, "What a wonderful group of people, so friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed your preaching." Another visiting minister shared, "I will be praying for you and your church. What a delightful worship service!" I share these things with you to encourage you to invite your friends, co-workers, relatives... anyone in your circle of influence. As we continue our search for a new pastor, it is important that we demonstrate our desire to grow and reach out to others. — Pastor Jim

Recent All-Church Annual Meeting and Fellowship
There was such a sweet spirit within our church during our Annual All-Church Meeting and Worship Service on April 7. Your strong vote of confidence for those who were on the ballot demonstrates a spirit of expectancy and unity of purpose. The potluck meal was fantastic! So many complimented on the quality of the food and the good fellowship that was experienced.

The Church Board has determined that we should do two things:
|
- 1. Have regular Church Board meetings on the second Sunday of the month, every other month. In other words, instead of 12 regular board meetings a year, we will have six. If something comes up between those months that requires board action, we will have a short stand-up meeting to deal with just that item(s) following a worship service.
- 2. On the Sundays that we have our regular board meeting we will also plan for an all-church potluck meal like we had on April 7. This will keep us fellowshipping together as has been our custom, but not so often that people become weary of a monthly meal. Be watching for the date of our next potluck!

Men's Fellowship
Several of the men in our church want to start the Saturday Morning Men's Breakfast again. It will be a time of eating, fellowship, and prayer. The Church Board whole-heartedly supports this event. Watch the Newsletter and announcements at church for more information. It will happen soon!

Women's Fellowship
Donna McElvaine is working on some plans for women's get-togethers over the summer. In the fall she hopes to start a regular women's Bible study. Ladies, be watching for more announcements on activities designed for you to enjoy being together!
