From Pastor Donovan...

I am grateful that we have an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ each and every day; that we have innumerable opportunities to lift each other up in prayer. This week we have many specific things that we should be praying for. There are those who are recovering from surgeries, those in the hospital, and those whose hearts are heavy from loss. There is no better way to love one another than to join together and lift them up in prayer. If you, or someone you know, is in need of prayer, we have people available to pray for you. We have a weekly prayer meeting at the church where we gather together and pray.

David writes in Psalm 145:18, "The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth," and in Psalm 143:1, "Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief."
|
The Lord is close to each of us and will come and give us relief in our need. Help as we know it is never far off. As we enter into the Season of Lent, let us find ways to abstain from distractions to focus on the will of God—to allow Him to guide each step we take so it will bring Him glory, honor, and praise.

We have lots of activities going on at the church!
|
- The Teens are having a Bob Ross painting night Friday at 7pm. I can't wait to see their happy little trees.
- Feed My Starving Children is Saturday, Feb 21st at Hill Country Bible Church on FM 620. Please be there by 2:45pm to get checked in.
- Annual Board Elections are THIS Sunday. Please arrive a little early to vote before service starts.
- March 4th begins our Wednesday Night Potlucks at 6pm and Wednesday Bible study at 7pm.
- March 14th is a Teen Car Wash Fundraiser. Please come support the teens for their events!
- March 18th is a Teen Lock-in.
- March 22nd is the Church Work Day following service. We'll have pizza. If you want to come in your work clothes I will not judge you; I may be wearing mine!

I know many of you have continued to pray for my family. My dad, John Glass, passed peacefully on Tuesday night, and God's presence was very evident in his hospital room. Please keep praying for my mom, Barbara, and sisters Sara and Merilee. I hope to be back with you soon.
