I pray each of you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! I don't know if you participated in the annual fireworks displays in your neighborhoods, but I hope you enjoyed them all the same. I know our family did!
As we enter this new year, we should look forward to the opportunities that the Lord will present us with. We should not dwell on what has happened in this past year. Learn the lessons God taught us and use them to make ourselves better for the next opportunity. God is continuing to do new things right in front of us! We must be aware and sensitive to those movements of the Spirit.
Isaiah 43:18-19 tells us this. "Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. Behold I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert." Let each of us be the roadway leading people to Christ in their wilderness. Let us be the ones to help bring them to the river of Life in their deserts.
We will be taking down the Christmas decorations on January 4th right after service. Please stay and allow the many hands to make the load light.
We will have our potluck on January 11th as well as the board meeting and our "Family Table" meeting. Wednesday night Bible study will resume this week on January 7th at 7pm.
I can't wait to worship with you this Sunday!
